As the temperature of the Bitcoin ETF (the Exchange Trading Fund) quickly fades, more and more investors choose to make a profit and bitcoin continues to fall. On January 22, local time, Bitcoin lost its $40,000 mark, for the first time since this year, and dragged down the encoded currency market as a whole.
据外媒报道，当日比特币一度下跌逾4%至39414.80美元，为去年12月3日以来最低水平。第二大加密货币以太币当日下跌6.37%至2328.30美元。此外，其他加密货币当日也普遍大幅下跌。
According to the foreign media, Bitcoin fell by more than 4 per cent to $39,414.80 on that day, the lowest level since 3 December last year. The second largest encrypted currency fell by 6.37 per cent to $2328.30 on that day. In addition, other encrypted currencies generally fell significantly on that day.
受美国证券交易委员会（SEC）将批准比特币ETF的预期提振，比特币数月来大幅上涨。路透社报道称，比特币比去年8月上涨了70%。但受投机交易心理影响，在ETF上市决定宣布后，比特币反而开始迅速回吐涨幅。据美国消费者新闻与商业频道（CNBC）报道，自1月10日SEC批准比特币ETF交易以来，比特币已下跌14%。
The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved the expected boost of the Bitcoin ETF, which has risen significantly over the last few months. Reuters reported an increase of 70% over last August.
有市场分析师表示，目前所有数字资产都表现疲软。比特币ETF上市后，市场情绪不再如之前那样狂热，杠杆率的使用继续呈下降趋势，表明交易员操作更趋于谨慎。
According to market analysts, all digital assets are now weak. Market sentiment is no longer as feverish as it was when the Bitcoin ETF was marketed, and the use of leverage continues to decline, indicating a more cautious approach by traders.
不过，多数交易员认为，比特币当下的跌幅在意料之中。一些分析师称他们原本就预计，比特币在ETF获批上市后会回吐部分涨幅。加密货币借贷平台Nexo的联合创始人安东尼·特伦切夫表示，回顾此前与加密货币相关的重大事件，包括加密货币交易平台Coinbase的首次公开募股和比特币期货的推出，随后都出现了类似的比特币暴跌。
However, most traders believe that Bitcoin’s current decline is unexpected. Some analysts say that they would have expected Bitco to throw up part of the increase when the ETF was approved. Anthony Trenchev, co-founder of the encrypted money lending platform Neso, stated that a similar Bitco collapse followed a review of major events relating to encrypted currency, including the launch of the first open equity fund for the encrypted currency trading platform Coinbase and the introduction of the bitcoin futures.

Bitcoin may still be in value revision. Analysts warn that while the long-term upward trend in Bitcoin remains constant, it is likely to fall further in the short term.

Moreover, market observers have pointed out that the Standard & Poor’s 500 index, driven by semiconductors and other science and technology units, is once again at an all-time high, making it difficult to encrypt currencies to compete with traditional stocks. Trenchev suggests that Bitcoin investors now feel like “run backwards on a declining escalator,” and that Bitcot’s ETF may be added to the failures in the history of encrypted currencies.
